Day two Source of The Nile
0:830 After breakfast check out and visit the UNESCO World heritage Kasubi Tombs the largest thatched Mausoleum inEast Africa or Wamala Tombs , city markets or craft shops. Enroute to Jinja you pass through tea and sugar plantations and the luxuriant Mabira Forest. Check in at The Haven or EdenResort or similar lodge for Lunch .After lunch, , visit main street Jinja,markets and The Source of The Nile where the world’s longest river begins her tempestuous 4000 mile westward journey to the Mediterranean . Return for Dinner and Overnight. Full Board
Day three Rhino Sanctuary Murchison Falls N.P
After breakfast ,depart for Rhino Sanctuary in Ziwa Ranchers Nakasongola for Rhino tracking .Other wild game at the sanctuary include bushbuck, Uganda Kob, crocodile, hippo and 15 mammalian specie. There is also prolific birdlife including habitat to the rare Shoebill Stork in Lugogo wetlands. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park arriving late evening. Check in at Paraa Safari or a traditional hut at Heritage lodge for Dinner & Overnight with a chance to spot game enroute.(6-7hrs) Half Board
Day four Game drive, encounter ,shoebill , launch Cruise
07:00 After breakfast at leisure, arrange a Gamedrive and boat to the delta in search for the elusive shoe bill stork. 2:00PMLaunch cruise- After lunch head for an afternoon Nile cruise (3hrs to the bottom).Ernest Hemingway the famous 20th century writer survived wild animals when he crash landed in the canyon. At the top of the falls,the most powerful force of water on earth is forced through a 7m crevice into a plume of rainbow smoke 40M below. Sail back downstream and return to your lodge for Dinner &Overnight. Full Board
Day five Albertine Rift, Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve
08:30 After breakfast at leisure you have another option for a gamedrive before you checkout and depart South Westward for Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve via the Albertine rift arriving early afternoon. Visit historical and cultural sites including Royal Mparo Tombs in Hoima. King Kabalega's tomb, covered with white spotted brown cowhide, fixed around the vault with nine traditional hoes.Proceed on the Butiaba route past tea estates and Kyehoro fishing village . Check in at Lake Albert Safari Lodge in your grass thatched cottage for lunch. Overlooking the lake. with magnificent views of the Blue Congo Mountains across the lake. After lunch Families can relax at the pool or enjoy various walking and cycling routes to suit their levels of fitness and will be sure to get up close and personal with our varied bird species and wildlife.Dinner & Overnight .(3hr drive) Full Board
Day six Kibale Forest Nocturnal walk
08:00 After a hearty breakfast,checkout as you head for game spotting drive for kobs, hartebeests and waterbucks .
Depart for Kibale forest National Park through verdant country and the rift valley escarpment with via Hoima town . Check in at your Lodge on time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.Take an optional Nocturnal walk ;sight bush baby,Pottos& Thomas Galagos.Dinner & Overnight Full Board
Day seven Primate Walk and diurnals ,Mt.Ruwenzori N.P
After breakfast track chimpanzee and ten other diurnal primates including, L’hoestes, red-colobus, blues, red-tailed and grey checked mangabey.This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters.
After lunch, depart for the snowcapped 5109M Mt. Rwenzori UNESCO World Heritage site (1hr drive)Check in at Equator Snow located on the foothills of the fabled .‘Mountains of the moon’. You are warmly welcomed by the Bakonzo community who have inhabited the foothills of the Mountains for over 300 years. You may take the short walk down to the river bank where you may find natural hot springs.Dinner & overnight . Full Board
Day eight hike ‘ Mountains of The Moon’ , Queen Elizabeth N. Park
08:00After early morning breakfast, Start your guided hike at base camp Nyakalengijo and set off through a maze of dense forest canopy , bird and monkey chirps across Mobuku river, climbing over rocks and bluff . After packed lunch at Nyabitaba camp. Return to base. After refreshing check out and head for Queen Elizabeth N. Park .Stopover at the Equator for photographs before proceeding. Game drive enroute .(1.5hrs)
1 1:00 Drive to Mweya Peninsular to for a launch cruise. Game drive enroute. 2: 00 Begin your cruise along the Kazinga Channel up close to a variety of hippo,elephant,buffalo. fish eagle, goliath heron, African Jacana and Egyptian geese. ‘U’ turn and head to base (2 hour cruise). Return to your Lodge for Dinner and Overnight . Full Board
Day nine Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Wake up at leisure. After breakfast check out and take an early morning game drive.Look out for lions , Elephants, Buffalos, Hyenas, the Rare Giant Forest hog, Warthogs, Kobs and teeming birdlife. Visit the saltmines as you for depart Buhoma ,Bwindi Impenetrable Forest N.P via the Southern sector .Have a lunch stop at Ishasha river Camp or Savannah Resort.As you drive through Ishasha there is a chance of spotting tree climbing lions elephants ,buffalo and other angulates. Check in at your camp or Lodge in Buhoma or Ruhija for Dinner and Overnight: (drive-4hrs) Full Board
Day ten Gorilla tracking Bwindi ,Lake Bunyonyi or Lake Mutanda
06:30 Have an early morning wakeup call on time for breakfast . Head for briefing by the ranger/guide at 8:00am before tracking . Don’t forget your packed lunch as you never know what time you shall return ! The gorillas are tracked, located and after approximately one hour with them, return to base to freshen up and checkout .Depart for Lake Bunyonyi or Lake Mutanda as you drive through the misty slopes of Bwindi through Echuya Forest Reserve renown for endemic birdlife . (4-5hrs)Checkin at Birds Nest on L.Bunyonyi Chameleon Hill or Mutanda Lake Resort on Lake Mutanda for dinner & overnight . Half Board
Day eleven Lake Bunyonyi or Lake Mutanda
After an early morning breakfast activities include: If staying at LAKE BUNYONYI: Island hoping boat ride, visit to Kyevu market & volcanic gas emissions,Bukora cave and abaheshi blacksmiths, local market , hiking and bird watching.
If staying at LAKE MUTANDA . Take an island trip (boat); 3-4h; 2h motorboatYour ride to the burial place of Kyangushu will be followed by Mutanda Island, the biggest and the only inhabited one. On a clear day it offers views of Bunagana (Congo border), Lake Mulehe and Bwindi NP.There are also other trails including the village trail and the Batwa tribal trail available on request. Return late evening for a campfire evening and reminisce the events of the day before you retire Dinner & Overnight Full Board
Day twelve Lake MburoN.Park
09:00After breakfast at leisure head for Lake Mburo National Park with a brief stopover at Igongo Cultural Museum. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda that hosts Impala and the only one in the region with Burchell’s Zebra and Eland. Other species include topi, warthog, buffalo, Oribi, Water buck Defasa , Reed back .Game drive en-route Check in at Mihingo National Park, Rwakobo Rock or Lake Mburo Safari lodge for dinner & overnight . (3-4hr drive) Full Board
Day thirteen Lake Mburo National Park/Equator and Kampala
08:00After breakfast check out game drive or take a walking safari .Spot Zebra, Cape buffalo, eland, topi, or a guided walk or a visit to the local herdsmen in the surrounding villages. Depart for Kampala or Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator. Take photos astride the Centre of The World. (4hrs). Check in at Lake Victoria Serena or Boma Guest House for Dinner & Overnight . Day fourteen Departure
After breakfast at leisure, depart for Entebbe International Airport to catch your onward flight.
